Track cutting is always a difficult issue - there are many opinions and real life tracks allow cutting to different degrees at different parts of the track.
We ask all drivers to observe these guidelines
Corner Cutting
•The race circuit is clearly defined by the white lines either side on the track on the edge.
•Intentionally cutting corners to gain a time advantage is not permitted.
•Cutting a corner persistently will encore penalties.
•You must attempt to keep at least 1 wheel within the white lines to be counted as on the track.
FIA – RULES (Basics for the Corner-Cutting-Rules)
•“Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.”
•“A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.”
•“Should a car leave the track for any reason the driver may rejoin. However, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.”
We ask that all drivers race in a fair and gentlemanly manor, if you feel you caused an incident and choose to wait for another driver, please ensure it is safe to do so.
Reports or complaints of any race incidents must be submitted to Flatout admin accompanied by video evidence within 5 days from where two members of each team will be asked to vote on whether a
penalty is due then on the severity of the penalty, this is one feature we hope not to use, in previous series the action has been hot but always fair.
