Track cutting is always a difficult issue - there are many opinions and real life tracks allow cutting to different degrees at different parts of the track.

We ask all drivers to observe these guidelines

Corner Cutting
•The race circuit is clearly defined by the white lines either side on the track on the edge.
•Intentionally cutting corners to gain a time advantage is not permitted.
•Cutting a corner persistently will encore penalties.
•You must attempt to keep at least 1 wheel within the white lines to be counted as on the track.

FIA – RULES (Basics for the Corner-Cutting-Rules)
•“Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.”
•“A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.”
•“Should a car leave the track for any reason the driver may rejoin. However, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.”

We ask that all drivers race in a fair and gentlemanly manor, if you feel you caused an incident and choose to wait for another driver, please ensure it is safe to do so.

Reports or complaints of any race incidents must be submitted to Flatout admin accompanied by video evidence within 5 days from where two members of each team will be asked to vote on whether a
penalty is due then on the severity of the penalty, this is one feature we hope not to use, in previous series the action has been hot but always fair.

We have a change in the dates for the series due to a request from Core to allow the 26/05/2013 to be kept clear (allowing the Core guys to meet another commitment)
I hope it dosn't put anyone out but I have no doubt the guys over at Core would do the same for us.

The change involves us swapping our planned DRM race at Suzuka to the 26th and Radicals at Istanbul to the 19th so the remaining Radicals calendar would read:

Spa - 28 Arpil
Monza - 12 May
Istanbul - 19 May
Barcelona - 9 June
Mid Ohio - 23 June

Changes have been updated in the first post.

With 5 rounds still to go it would be great to see a few more Flatout drivers taking part, the racing so far has been top class and there is compitition on all levels.
The Radicals work really well around the current track, 1988 Spa with the bus stop chicane, if you need to get used to the car, its a great place to do it.

Hope to See you there. :)

Following a review of the uptake of this series so far, both Core and Flatout admin have agreed that with a much lower number of members than expected getting involved, we should wrap up the series this Sunday at Monza.

It would be nice to see a few Flatout members there so we can finish the series with a decent turnout.
