FLATOUT NAGT TEAM CHALLENGE SERIES AND ENDURO-RACE

Hi Fellas,

Its about that time again when we announce what our next Flatout series is going to be. We did look at the idea of going back to Evo for a short series, but think with the better and more options we have on the server its best to stick with rFactor, plus we have the STC league for Evo races.

This series is going to be slightly different to the norm we have been running, and it’s going to be a bit experimental at the beginning, so please bear with us.

Our last race of the current GP 79 series is Sunday 18th Apr @ Monaco. We would normally then be racing on the Saturday after this, but what is going to happen now is 2 weeks of testing in the NAGT Mod round the Thermalito track for the 3 hour Enduro race which is happening on the 1st May. The reason for this length of testing, is also so we can determine teams not just for this race but for the next season as well.

The teams are going to be worked out by the times everyone sets matching one ‘Racing’ driver and one ‘Club’ by the quickest Racing driver is matched to the slowest club, then 2nd racing to 2nd slowest club and so on………. This is the fairest way we can think of trying to complete this task, so in these 2 weeks we ideally need everyone who is taking part to really go for it with their times. The 2 normal individual championships will still be run the same way they are now as well.

Another change is going to be the points system for this series which is explained further below.

The series itself, will be run over 10 rounds, consisting of one 3 hour race, then either 60, 90 or 120 minute races for the remaining 9.

Sounds absolutely brilliant. I really like the team aspect. The only downside is I won't be around on May 1st. Going away for a long weekend. I'll still put the practice in, but clearly no one will want to team with me!! Points down the drain before we have even started. Oh well.

Sound really good this one like the team race at the start my only gripe (very small) would be the last race made into a team event with the top points scorer from racing teams up with the lowest point scorer from club, second with second from bottom and so on.

any thoughts but still very happy to keep format as is.

Surely thats not the point Notch. Its not choosing your team mate. Teams are chosen on times. Fastest and slowest. fastest with 2nd slowest etc,

So if you are last then Lee or Iain will partner you and if I am last then its tough poo for the fastest! falldownlaugh

Chillout Bev, it'll be ok! I am sure the admins will or may take your best times in praccys????? if you cannot make the race

The only way the teams will be fair is if everyone puts in even just a few laps in those 2 weeks even if they cant make the race at Thermalito.

Ken, Iain

I a perfectly fine about it. I understand the way the teams are chosen. It wasn't supposed to sound like a moan whatsoever. My point was that whoever I get put with after the practice sessions will have a points disadvantage as I can't make the endurance race and therefore can't score any points for the team, so it would be a bit disappointing for them. Apologies, I posted that at work during a busy day and really should have read it back to myself.

Actually, as I can't make the race, would my teammate have to do the 3 hrs solo?!! lol

surely we would only pair off peeps that can attend the race, as bevan states, if paired before then disadvantaged to be with him.

No harm in attending practice but we would surely need 100% confirmed attendance to match peeps up.

Or am i missing something?
