IRG-DTM Series

Re: IRG-DTM Series

As adam said some real nice racing yesterday. Had 2 incidents one completly my fault and other one not so clear.
Luckely not to much damage apart from the one my fault where my car was almost totaled.
Damage setting to 100% makes a huge difference, one tap is enough for splitter and suspension damaged.

Qual : couldn't realy hook up a good lap, but wasn't to bad either.
Race : Went of to a good start up making up places to the point where I made a mistake missing my braking point hitting Lucas and forced to pit. Had a problem with the pit limiter making that I had a drive through on top of it. Second stint wasn't to bad until I hit a wall and had to pit again. :( . both times I wasn't far from the pit window so wasn't to bad.
Only had to pit again as i feared my tyre wouldn't make it to the end. Lost one position, but could take it back in the last lap only to loose it again when my car ran out of fuel in the last corner before the finish. Luckly I had enough momentum or it would have been a DNF.
Looking forward to the next one, which I probably can't do :( :( :( .

Hey guys,

If you suffered in an incident you can report it:
Image
not reported incidents will be treated as race incidents and will not result in penalties unless they are very severe in results or very stupid ;)

I believe this is the track layout to be used in the real life series too.
With a healthy grid and a short track there will be no shortage of action and with no chance for a breather throughout, you can bet this one is gonna be pretty demanding, I think I may even have to start going to the gym in preparation lol ! Cool0044

yeah true, wasn't impressed in last race by some who tried to pass others that where clearly on a qual lap.

Hey guys - two things I would like you to do :) if you have time for it :)

1. If you see someone behaving bad - look it up on the replay and post it in the incidents part of the IRG portal or to me. This will allow us to penalise their behaviour and maybe they will learn. Most of the IRG guys I know - but there are many young guys with hot heads so you never know.

2. Please come to the IRG server for testing and training :) You do not need to test on your own server - that will help us "mingle" and build a better community I think.

Thx Tomasz.

I wasn't involved myself.
One other thing I noticed is in in qualy someone taking the last corner totaly off track to have higher speed over the S/F line when starting his lap. On hockenheim the difference wont be huge but on some other tracks it will. I believe cutting is not alowed to gain time when starting a flying lap.

Also in Qual, if you come to close to someone in front who is on a qual lap then one has to abort his qual lap as you might ruin his lamp.

Maybe you could speak in general to the driver, I don't want to make a fuss about it certainly since we are new to you league.

Race went very fair for me, no issues at all.
